Everything you need to know about hypnotherapy and how I work.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses the natural state of hypnosis to access both the conscious and subconscious mind. In this relaxed, focused state, we can introduce positive changes and new thought patterns to support emotional and behavioral healing.

Will I lose control or be under your power?

No. You remain in full control at all times. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process—you cannot be made to do or say anything against your will.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on the issue:

  • Simple issues (e.g. nail biting, exam nerves, slimming): often resolved in one session.

  • More complex, deep-rooted issues: typically require ongoing weekly sessions, often 10 or more.
Each case is unique, and we’ll tailor the approach to suit your needs.

Are any drugs used?

No. All hypnotherapy sessions are completely drug-free.

What does being hypnotised feel like?

It feels like a state of deep relaxation—similar to daydreaming. You may even feel as if you’re drifting off to sleep, but you’ll still be aware of your surroundings.

What is the HypnoBand?

The HypnoBand is a virtual gastric band technique, delivered over four sessions. Through guided hypnosis, your mind accepts the suggestion that your stomach is smaller, leading to reduced food intake.

  • No surgery involved

  • Designed for long-term weight management

  • Not a quick-fix weight-loss solution

Is my phobia silly?

Absolutely not. If a fear is affecting your daily life, it’s valid. Phobias often stem from deeper emotional patterns and should be addressed with care and understanding.

Can hypnotherapy make me do silly things?

No. This is not stage hypnosis. As a professional therapist, I provide a safe, respectful environment focused entirely on your wellbeing and goals.

Can you work with children?

Yes. I have extensive experience working with children using gentle methods like the Blowaway Technique, which allows children to release emotional issues without needing to talk about them in detail.

Do you offer home visits?

Currently, I offer online therapy sessions. If you have specific needs, please mention this when contacting me—we can discuss what options are available.
